Yep, the "bracket" is a joke
Every year the committee gets together, and like the cat that thinks it's doing you a favor, puts a dead bird on college volleyball's front step: the bracket.
The worst part? There will be, invariably, an "interview" with a member of the committee where they're asked specific, pointed questions, and to which they'll answer in vague, general nonsense, which is even more insulting than the bracket itself.
If you don't recall, here's the "Q&A" we highlighted last year.

Like a good Oliver Stone conspiracy theory, The Net Live experienced "technical difficulties" with Blog Talk today and couldn't air their show. Where's the conspiracy, you say? Their guests were Mick "Occupy NCAA" Haley and Diane Turnham, from the NCAA Selection Committee. Sorry, but I'm not buying the "technical difficulties" stuff. I think The Shadow, over at the NCAA, did something sinister in order to prevent Barney and the boys from ripping into the brackets. Plus, the NCAA knew that they would't let Diane off the hook if she didn't answer their questions! Heck, forget Oliver Stone, get me Jessie Ventura!
I'd imagine that someone "got to" Diane before she had a chance to spill the beans.
Probably so. Maybe it was the same person who "got to" the AVCA and prompted them to cancel distributing the new coaches poll today! ;)
