Wait: What happened to Burkholder?

We're not big into conspiracy theories, but a press release about Allison Napier becoming the new assistant coach at Arizona that doesn't mention why the previous one (who happens to be the best setter in the program's history) left is just odd. No, not JFK/grassy knoll odd, not Area 51 odd, but odd nonetheless.

Afterall, even if Burkholder simply decided she didn't want to coach anymore, wouldn't being the best Wildcat setter ever warrant a "So long and thanks for all the fish" press release at the very least?

Did Burkholder enter the witness protection program? Did she snitch on the mob and is now a postal worker in North Dakota somewhere? Is she CIA? Is she...(gulp) Scully?

Where for art thou, Burkholder!

Check out danaburkholder.com I was lost but now I'm found. The college level was too much time, too much recruiting and too much about winning. The game used to be fun and about coming together as a team (or at least that's how it seemed). So, now I'm at the club level, where it's also too much time, too much recruiting and too much about winning and scholarships. But, the good news is, there are a lot of kids and a lot of fun coaches to hang out with. So, there's a lot of fun to be had - even when you're trying to cross your i's and dot your t's.

Hopefully the wildcats will now return to their former glory of the 90's - like everything else in the oh so complicated 21st century.
