Corbett transfers to Western Michigan, falls down stairs
Western Michigan's lookin' to do some damage in the MAC next year, as witnessed by head coach Colleen Munson's mantra to "train and play every day to be extraordinary."
Part of her wrecking crew includes Kate Corbett, who spent the past year at Pacific while Charlie Wade tried to figure out what in the world to do first. After appearing in 24 of 104 games and 14 of 29 matches, Corbett began to sense she wasn't part of the UOP future and transferred to Western Michigan.
Fresh start! New school! Brand new outlook! It's gonna be a great day!
"However, Corbett tripped going down a flight of stairs, fell and dislocated her shoulder."
What is it about these staircases that seems to be so vexing to volleyball players? First Utah's Whitney Webb tries to split open her melon during a European excursion, and now Corbett?
If anyone out there has can relate to us a story about a volleyball player successfully navigating a flight of stairs, we'd like to hear about it.
